Girls’ Generation – TTS Holds Comeback Showcase

On September 16th, Girls’ Generation – TTS held a special “Holler” comeback showcase in the Woori Financial Art Hall at Olympic Park in Seoul. As fans gathered at the event site, they were greeted by album pictures and songs from the subunit’s first mini-album, “Twinkle”. Then the showcase kicked off, and Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun began the show by performing “Twinkle”, “Baby Steps”, and “Love Sick” in plaid outfits. 

Thereafter, the trio went on to hold stages for songs from their new mini-album, “Holler”, which was digitally released earlier that day. In between stages, the girls held short talk sessions to share their thoughts about their impending comeback, songs from the “Holler” album, and more. SHINee’s Minho served as the showcase MC. 

For the final stage, the three ladies changed into zebra-print outfits to perform “Holler”, showing off an exciting stage with new choreography for the fans in attendance. In total, the trio performed five of the six songs from the “Holler” mini-album: “Adrenaline”, “Only U”, “Stay”, “Whisper”, and “Holler”. A special behind-the-scenes video of the album photoshoot and music video shooting was also revealed to fans during the showcase.

Girls’ Generation – TTS will hold their first comeback stage on September 18th on Mnet’s “M! Countdown”, where the ladies will perform “Adrenaline” and “Holler”. The “Holler” mini-album physical release date is also set for the 18th.

Tiffany opens up her personal Instagram account!

Great news for fans eager for more social updates from their favorite Girls' Generation members!  Tiffany is the latest member of the group to get her own Instagram account.

She uploaded two sweet videos addressing fans and convincing them of the authenticity of this account, one in English and one in Korean.  Already, she has about 40,000 followers, so make sure you check out her account @xolovestephi.

Taeyeon addresses SONEs about her relationship with Baekhyun

After the surprising news last night that Girls' Generation's Taeyeon was in a relationship with junior label mate EXO's Baekhyun, she took to Twitter to personally address SONEs about this.

She wrote in the comments section of her Instagram account on June 19, "SONEs.  Because of me, you were very shocked and hurt today, right?  I am really sorry for making you feel things you should not have had to feel and the article that came out today because I was not more careful.  I really want to apologize.  I'm really sorry for hurting you."

She continued in another comment, "I feel like you would feel many different things like great disappointment, anger, hatred, frustration, and dejection.  I can accept all of that and I want to apologize because, it might just be me thinking this way, but you must have liked, trusted, and supported me as well as put effort and strength just as much."

In two more comments she wrote, "I feel like no matter what I say right now, it could all be perceived differently.  I'm not trying to explain myself, but rather I want to speak to you in the hopes that you would stop hurting at least one day earlier.  I did not post these with that intention at all, but most of the people on Instagram...  'I had fun putting up blatant pictures on Instagram.  I mocked the fans.'  I felt like there were a lot of people who were thinking this way, so I wanted to get my words in; that was not my intention or goal at all..."

The last part may be in relation to the similarities between Baekhyun and Taeyeon's selcas as noted in the above picture.  Perhaps certain people believed that the two were purposely doing this, hence mocking their clueless fans.  However, Taeyeon insisted that was a misunderstanding.

Sunny Attends ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ Press Call

On June 12th, Sunny attended a press call event for the “Singin’ in the Rain” musical production, where highlights from the musical were performed. Sunny, playing the role of Kathy Selden, dressed in a pink and purple outfit for her performance. An interview was also held with the cast of the musical, which includes Choi Soojin, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, TRAX’s Jay, CSJH’s Sunday, and EXO’s Baekhyun. 

Sunny’s first public performance for “Singing’ in the Rain” will take place June 14th.

Jessica shows her disapproval of Krystal's taste in men

Girls' Generation's Jessica showed disapproval toward her younger sister Krystal's taste in men while the two were hanging out at a cafe in the second episode of their On Style reality program 'Jessica & Krystal' which aired on June 10.  

In relation to Krystal's ideal type, Jessica said, "There isn't an exact one, but there's a feeling.  She likes someone who gives off a slightly odd feeling."  Krystal replied, "A feeling is important for every person.  It is hard to give off that feeling."

The two revealed they often talked about men.  Krystal, in particular, complained that her sister would always show disapproval towards men that Krystal liked. 

Krystal revealed she liked men who were in the mold of Johnny Depp, saying, "When Johnny Depp and Kate Moss were dating in the past, I wanted to become a couple like that." Her sister said, "I am against a man like Johnny Depp.  You probably know that.  A person like that isn't great.  You're in a bit of a rebellious phase, that's why.  Why do you have so many problems with the world?  You just need to meet a straight-edged person."

Krystal went on, "Our criteria for what is 'straight-edged' could be different." Refusing to lose, Jessica said, "There are certain people whom anyone could look at and judge, 'That person is not straight-edged.'  I think you are often attracted to people like that."

Krystal wondered, "Is it because I'm young?" to which Jessica replied, showing her sisterly concern, "My goal is to change you a bit.  I feel like you won't be happy at all later on."

They are so cute, right?? ^^

Girls' Generation's Seohyun sports short hair

Fans are used to Girls' Generation's Seohyun having long hair, but she shared an unexpected photo of herself sporting short hair with fans recently.

On June 10, Seohyun tweeted, "Short hair-hyun," along with the photo above. Fans seemed to like this new side of the Girls' Generation's maknae, commenting, "Seohyun looks good with short hair," "I wonder if she really cut her hair short," "A lot of fans will probably cut their hair short now," and more.

Girls' Generation are currently on their 'Japan 3rd Tour 2014' and headed to Osaka, Saitama, and Tokyo next.
