Girls’ Generation Makes Surprise Visit to Support Yoona at ‘Prime Minister and I’ Filming Set

On December 29th, Girls’ Generation made a surprise visit to the set of “Prime Minister and I”. More than anything, on the same day, at the same time, at the same location, the SBS “Gayo Daejun” was taking place. Despite the overlapping schedule, Girls’ Generation upheld their friendship with Yoona by using their time in between and rushed to the set of “Prime Minister and I” to support Yoona.

Yoona was delighted with the unexpected visit and couldn’t hide her gratitude to the members’ for their strong friendship. It was said that Girls’ Generation’s appearance also stirred up the set as well.

Girls’ Generation greeted director Lee Soyeon, as well as each staff member. They heated up the atmosphere by showing their loyalty, watching Lee Bumsoo and Yoona filming.

According to the production staff, Girls’ Generation’s special visit pushed on for their (translator’s note: to show) friendship with Yoona. Girls’ Generation gave strength by giving a heart-warming gift, saying, “We came to cheer on Yoona, who is going back and forth with performances and her drama during busy year-end schedules, by providing her a little, but meaningful, support.”

The production staff of “Prime Minister and I” revealed, “Thanks to Girls’ Generation’s surprise visit, the actors and staff got strength like they received a year-end present, and we were able to forget the cold for a moment and continued on the shoot with a warm mood. I want to take this time to give thanks to Girls’ Generation.”

Close friends in real life, the two beauties and their designer counterparts are currently taking part in a fashion survival program series called SBS E! “Fashion King Korea.” The girls talked about competing against each other and the awkwardness that accompanies trying to create an atmosphere of rivalry.  

“We’re supposed to be rivals, but since it’s hard to come across that way when we don’t view each other like that; the staff is probably a little perplexed on what to do. We used to only be able to see each other by struggling to fit each other in our busy schedules, but now that we can see each other once a week, it’s really great,” they said. 

They girls also revealed that they’re close enough where Tiffany gives Bora advice since she is her senior in the industry, and they tell each other secrets while confiding in one another. 

For the shoot, the girls were outfitted in wine-colored dresses and held black swans. It appears that the black swan is the inspirational motif for the shoot. In european folklore, the black swan has been commonly associated to having ties with the devil or represent a sinister and seductive female as seen in Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake.” 

Three Girls' Generation members make list of the ten prettiest women in Asia according to Chinese survey

Girls' Generation once again proved their immense popularity overseas!

One popular internet site in China held a huge survey called 'Ten Prettiest Women of Asia in 2013.' While YoonA came out on top with an impressive 8.76 million votes, fellow Girls' Generation member Jessica followed in second place with 8.75 million votes!

That is not all. Taeyeon came in sixth place and actress Park Shin Hye came out in tenth place so that out of the ten  women listed as the prettiest in all of Asia, four of them were Korean and three of them were from Girls' Generation!

Girls' Generation just finished their preparation for their comeback

Popular girl groups are preparing for their upcoming massive comeback on January. One of them is Girls' Generation, who had great results as responds and rankings in their previous comebacks. Their upcoming comeback will definitely seems to be promising in returning with positive results.
Their comeback is revealed to be in the second week of January. One of the representative certainly stated that their comeback will bring a fresh image along with lively music. The girls are aiming to subdue the rankings in their comeback next year. It also revealed that the girls finished their filming for the Music Video. Girls' Generation with 125 Kpop artists join in 'Friendship Project'

125 Kpop artists together joining 'Friendship project', especially on SBS Gayo Awards, which will happen on the upcoming 29/12.


This theme is 'Music Makes Miracles.' The director of the show Kim Yong Kwon revealed about this meaningful project at a press conference on 18/12. This is a project be held to gather all the stars of the Hallyu wave together doing something meaningful. He shared: "At the end of the year, we want to gather artists doing something that is significant. We will sing a song together and film a Music Video. All the profits from this song will go to charity of SBS."

Today, with 125 artists which are singers and famous groups of the Korea: Lee Seung Chul, Kim Jo Han, Park Jin Young, Tiger JK, Yoon Mirae, Lee Hyori, Sung Si Kyung, Super Junior, Brown Eyed Girls, K. Will, Sunmi, Big Bang, Kara, SNSD, SHINee, 2PM, IU, After School, 2NE1, 4Minute, f(x), B2ST, CN Blue, ZE:A, Infinite, miss A, Teen Top, Girl’s Day, A Pink, B1A4, Ailee, EXO, B.A.P and other artists, had been filming for 'You are A Miracle.' Super Junior 's Siwon and Girls' Generation's Sooyoung have been appointed as ambassadors for ' UNICEF 's santa campaign to help children in need this holiday season!

UNICEF announced on December 17, "Sooyoung, who has been consistently participating in various volunteer work, and Siwon, who has been a 'UNICEF' ambassador for the past two years, fit the image of santas who help children and were appointed as ambassadors for this campaign."

Siwon said, "After teaming up with UNICEF, every time I promote, I feel a sense of responsibility and duty... Please participate in the santa campaign and send a life saving gift to the children who are in need of dire help."

Siwon and Sooyoung are known for their hearts of gold and continue to fight for a good cause as ambassadors for 'UNICEF'.

Soojin Speaks About Sooyoung in Interview for ‘Le Passe Muraille’ Musical

Choi Soojin, Sooyoung’s sister, was recently interviewed for “Le Passe Muraille”, or “The Man Who Walked Through Walls” a musical in which she plays the role of Isabelle.
- What did your sister, Sooyoung (Girls’ Generation), say about your acting as Isabelle?

Soojin: Sooyoung never complimented me until now. All she would say is ‘Good work unnie.’ If I asked, ‘How was this scene?’, she used tell me things I needed to improve on. Truthfully, I knew about those points from ratings by the audience or criticism from the director.

So I was never hurt by my sister (translator’s note: by her lack of compliments). Rather than feeling saddened with the thought of ‘Why won’t she ever say good things for me’, I thought, ‘I probably got criticized on the same points.’ However, this time, she complimented me a lot by saying, ‘The first verse was good’, or ‘Your diction was clear’, so it was a new feeling.

- You teared up during your video message to your sister in ‘Midnight TV Entertainment’.

Soojin: Sooyoung was also surprised and asked me ‘Why did you cry?’ It was odd that she was surprised. Don’t you usually get emotional when you talk about your family? I missed her, and so I got emotional. Starting from a young age, she didn’t come home often because she was an idol. I have a heartbreaking emotion for her because I often watched her from behind.

- Please say anything you want to tell Sooyoung through this interview.

Soojin: My sister was sick with swollen tonsils. A lot of people will love the new album, so I wish she’d wait for the fans reactions with an excited mind rather than a nervous one. It is my wish as an older sister that she’d return to her original resolution (translator’s note: her mental state from her debut days) and gain strength from that.

Girls ’ Generation Nominated in ThreeCategories for the ’28 th Golden DiskAwards’

Girls’ Generation has been nominated in three categories for the “28 th Golden Disk Awards ”: Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and the Popularity Award.

The awards ceremony will be held in the Grand Peace Palace at Kyung Hee University on January 16 th , 2014 , from 5: 00 PM to 8: 50 PM KST. Winners of the awards will be decided based on voting, album sales, and judges’ opinions.

In the past, Girls’ Generation received the Digital Daesang at the 2009 “Golden Disk Awards ”, the Disk Daesang in 2010, and the Digital Daesang in 2011 , thus receiving the honor of being the first girl group to win for three consecutive years. Last year, Girls’ Generation – TTS was also nominated for three categories at the “27th Golden Disk Awards “.

Yoona SNSD Alami Kecelakaan Mobil padaNovember

Hal mengejutkan terungkap dari beberapa laporan media besar di Korea. Yoona Girls' Generation disebut-sebut pernah mengalami kecelakaan mobil. Kabar itu pun dibenarkan oleh jubir SM Entertainment.

Beberapa sumber mengaku mendapat gosip bahwa Yoona mengalami tabrakan bulan lalu. "Penyebab kecelakaan itu karena masalah teknis kendaraan yang ada Yoona di dalamnya, mobil Yoona terdorong mobil lain saat kecelakaan terjadi," ucap sumber itu.

Kecelakaan tersebut terjadi saat Yoona berangkat untuk menjalani aktivitasnya. Saat itu ia mengendarai mobil bersama manajernya dan untunglah mereka berdua baik-baik saja. Kini perwakilan SM meyakinkan bahwa tidak ada masalah serius akibat kecelakaan itu.

"Yoona sebenarnya mengalami kecelakaan mobil pada awal November," ucap jubir pada Newsen. "Tapi itu hanya tabrakan ringan dan dia baik-baik saja."

Jubir menegaskan bahwa Yoona akan tetap melanjutkan syuting "Prime Minister and I" seperti biasa. Ia juga akan tampil bersama SNSD di konser mereka dalam rangkaian acara SMTOWN WEEK pada 22 Desember nanti.

SNSD Confirmed for a Early 2014 Comeback

SONEs get excited! With rumors of a January comeback, SM Entertainment has now confirmed that SNSD is planning on making a comeback early next year!
In an interview with OSEN on December 7th, a SM Entertainment spokesperson shared,
"SNSD are preparing with the goal of a comeback early next year. However, the exact date hasn't been set yet. We will reveal more details as they come out."
Before the official announcement was made, there were rumors that SNSD will have a more masculine concept. However, SM confirmed that the group's new concept will not be mannish. With that said, the representative did say that we will "see a new side of Girls' Generation."
So stay tuned for more exciting SNSD news soon! Any ideas what the new concept might be?

In the picture, Yoona is holding a poster of 'Prime Minister and I' while posing for the camera. Her big eyes and long brown hair caught much attention.
Yoona also wrote, "We finally had the press conference for the KBS 2TV drama 'Prime Minister and I' that will start airing on December 9. I was so energized by all the rice sent by our fans that I think I did well. The best!"
She continued, "There's not even a week left until airing. It's going to be a great drama so... don't forget to watch! And now Nam Da Jung, out."

YoonA talks about a recent phone call with her first love

YoonA was a guest on the December 5 installment of KBS 2TV 's 'Happy Together 3 ' and mentioned that she recently had a phone conversation with her first love.
She explained that she had been friends with him back in elementary school, which was about eleven years ago.
She would have felt a bit uncomfortable if he had kept going on about her being in Girls' Generation, but he rather casually said, "To think that the YoonA I knew has come this far!" She continued, "Worried that he might mention it first, I said, 'I used to like you in the past!'" and the MCs laughed, saying she was trying to put on a tough appearance.
YoonA explained that he had already known about her feelings, but jokingly added he was probably filled with regret now.
