Girls' Generation's Sunny joins 'Singin' in the Rain' musical

 

 Sunny has been selected for the role of Kathy Selden in SM Culture and Contents’ musical production of “Singin’ in the Rain”, an adaptation of the 1952 film. Other artists in SM Entertainment who will star in the musical include Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Onew, and EXO’s Baekhyun. The musical will begin on June 5th and run until August 3rd at Chungmu Hall in Seoul. SM Culture and Contents has also prepared a website for “Singin’ in the Rain” that will open in June.

Sunny made her musical debut in 2012 with “Catch Me If You Can”, in which she played Brenda Strong in the musical’s first and second run from 2012 to 2013. Praised by critics for her performance, she was also nominated for the Female Newcomer award in “The 6th Musical Awards”.

Broadcast Date Set for Jessica and Krystal’s Reality Show

Earlier Soompi reported that Jessica and Krystal would be starring in their own reality show, and now the broadcast date has been finalized.

On April 16, the reality show’s staff revealed, “Girls’ Generation‘s Jessica and f(x)‘s Krystal will show their daily life through their reality program “Jessica & Krystal,” which will be broadcast in May.” The official broadcast date for the OnStyle reality show is set for May 6. 

Having garnered much attention for being musically talented sisters, both Jessica and Krystal have shined their talents through their respective girl groups. As the sisters are currently singers in SM Entertainment, fans have been anticipating the opportunity to finally see a deeper perspective of the singers’ sisterly bond.

Jessica and Krystal will display their personal lives and sisterly relationship on their upcoming OnStyle reality show “Jessica & Krystal” which will broadcast its first episode on May 6 at 11PM (KST).

Girls' Generation's Sunny discusses playing a married character for the first time in 'Rio 2'

Girls' Generation's Sunny commented on her voice-over role for the animated movie 'Rio 2'.

Sunny, who voices the parrot Jewel, attended the press conference for the film on April 8. She shared, "I had a lot of fun watching the original 'Rio', so when I received the casting offer for 'Rio 2', I accepted right away."

She added, "When I confirmed I'd be voicing the role, I found out that I'd be playing a mother of three. I was caught offguard when I found out that I'd be playing a married woman for the first time."

'Rio 2' is about parrots Rio, Jewel, and their three kids who leave their home in Rio de Janeiro to journey to the Amazon rainforest.

Girls' Generation's Tiffany and 2PM's Nichkhun go public with their relationship of 4 months

'Sports Seoul' has tackled one of their biggest dating stories to date as they have just released their exclusive on a relationship between Girls' Generation's Tiffany and 2PM's Nichkhun!

The media outlet posted photos with their report that detailed a relationship that bloomed out of friendship into that of a couple. It's said they've been dating since the end of last year for 4 months now. 

A source close to the two apparently told the media outlet, "As Tiffany and Nichkhun are both representative Hallyu stars, they have been meeting cautiously. It's true they've been close for a long time to the point that they were rumored to be dating since a while ago. It seems like since they have both lived in the U.S., they had a lot of similarities and remained close. However, they've only recently progressed into a couple for the past 4 months."

Immediately after the report, JYP Entertainment revealed that this is true! "As it has been reported, Tiffany and Nichkhun have been dating for 4 months. They started off as friends and became a couple. Please watch over them fondly," a rep said.

Another rep added, "They've been close since they were young... After being friends for a while, from what I know they started to date officially recently."

SM Entertainment also confirmed that the two are definitely an item. "It's true that Tiffany and Nickhun are a couple... They were friends but recently became closer. Please cheer them on."

So with that another celebrity couple has been born! Congratulations Tiffany and Nichkhun!
