Girls' Generation, leaders of the Hallyu Wave, national treasures, the first wonder of the world, the second coming of Christ, sonic innovators, Queens of K-Pop, Asian Pop, Pop, Urban Pop, Electro Pop, Nu-Decade Bubblegum pop, the biggest digital selling girl group ever, the third biggest selling girl group ever, creators of oxygen, hair pieces and your fave if they are APink, have exceeded one billion YouTube hits!

With a total of 1,133,986,483 hits spread across only official channels (SMTOWN, SM ENT (SM Entertainement's previous channel, Universal Music Japan and GirlsGenerationVevo), the nine piece, Hallyu juggernaut and Korean legends have become the first girl group to achieve this milestone EVER as well as the first K-Pop group or Asian group, following in the footsteps of overweight, one hit wonder, PSY making Girls' Generation the second Asian and Korean act to achieve this feat.

This milestone comes after Girls' Generation won the first, and only, as of yet, YouTube Video of the Year award for their video, I Got A Boy, a colourful, dynamic video for one of Korea's most influential songs of 2013 and one of K-Pop's biggest selling digital singles outside of Korea with 400,000 copies sold worldwide according to MediaTraffic.
